Our Hip Sidekick, Angela spotted these at her Dollar General when she heard that this tub may have irregular Cascade Pods inside! 😱
Hip Tip from Angela: These dishwasher packs weren’t on the $1 aisle at my store, but they were on an endcap. Before purchasing, you may want to unscrew the lids (they are screw on caps and not sealed) and open a few of the canisters are some contain pods that look identical to Cascade and some are just the powder packs. I did a load of dishes last night and the pod worked just as good as the Cascade pods I had been using.
A Cascade Platinum Plus Dishwasher Pod 21-Pack is going for $9.99 on Amazon making them 48¢ each. The packs in the Dollar General tub are only 3¢ each.

I grabbed a bunch of these. Have not had any without the gel. Some of them have a bit of brown discoloring in the powder (not that much), which may be why they would be brand-name ‘seconds’. They work every bit as well as the other gels and packs I use.
